Over 20 children, along with about 30 parents and volunteers, attended a pajama party on Feb. 4 to kick off the New Market Area Library’s winter reading program.

Children read books with their family, had their photos taken snuggling with a big bear, and enjoyed cookies and milk.

The program, open to babies through 5 years old and their parents/caregivers, will accept reading logs through March 2 when the library will host the annual Dr. Seuss Read Across America celebration. Those returning logs will receive a free book.
