Pageant hopefuls named

Twenty women will compete in the In Town and Out of Town Miss Honorary Fire and Rescue Chief pageant at 7 p.m. Saturday at Daniel Morgan Middle School in Winchester.

In-town contestants are:

• Alexis Barnes, a graduate of Sherando High School, is the daughter of Tony and Ulisa Barnes, of Stephens City. She is being sponsored by the Stephens City Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company.

• Jessica Brevard, a senior at John Handley High School, is the daughter of Zeb Brevard, of Leesburg, and Robin Brevard, of Winchester. She is sponsored by the South End Fire Company.

• Genevieve Davis, a junior at John Handley High School, is the daughter of Richard and Colleen Davis, of Winchester. She is sponsored by the Charley Rouss Fire Company.

• Ashley Edwards, daughter of Ron and Cathryn Edwards, of Winchester, is a junior at James Wood High School. She is sponsored by the Clear Brook Fire and Rescue Company.

• Kathleen Roy, daughter of Robert and Trisha Roy, of Gore, is a senior at James Wood High School. She is sponsored by the Gainesboro Fire and Rescue Company.

• Mariana Shuman, daughter of Steve Shuman, of Winchester, is a freshman at Lord Fairfax Community College and a graduate of Millbrook High School. She is sponsored by the Greenwood Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company.

• Audra Smelser, daughter of Billy Smelser, of Linden, and Heather Smelser, of Middletown, is a junior at Sherando High School. She is sponsored by the Middletown Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company.

• Jessica Smith, daughter of James Smith Jr. and Vicki Boyce, of Winchester, is a junior at James Wood High School. She is sponsored by the Reynolds Store Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company.

• Carmen Tomek, daughter of Devin Tomek, of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, and Jennifer Boyd, of Winchester, is a junior at Sherando High School. She is sponsored by the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Department.

• Kiara Torrey, daughter of James and Priscilla Torrey, of Winchester, is a sophomore at Millbrook High School. She is sponsored by the Millwood Station Fire and Rescue Company.

Out-of-town contestants are:

• Tatyana Anderson, daughter of Alonzo and Joann Charity, of Woodstock, is a freshman at Lord Fairfax Community College and a graduate of Central High School in Woodstock. She is sponsored by the Woodstock Fire Department.

• Faith Noel Carter, daughter of Mark and Joy Carter, of McGaheysville, is a junior at Rockingham High School. She is sponsored by the Elkton Volunteer Fire Company.

• Courtney Clatterbuck, daughter of Matthew and Lecie Clatterbuck, of Linden, is a graduate of Warren County High School. She is sponsored by the Rivermont Volunteer Fire Department.

• Denise Courtney, daughter of David Courtney and Tammy Courtney, both of Luray, is a junior at Luray High School. She is sponsored by the Stanley Volunteer Fire Department.

• Alexandra Dawson, daughter of Michael and Deborah Dawson, of Front Royal, is a senior at Warren County High School. She is sponsored by the Front Royal Volunteer Fire Department.

• Nakayla Irvin, daughter of Jim and Sarona Irvin, of Edinburg, is a junior at Central High School. She is sponsored by the Edinburg Volunteer Fire Company.

• Lauren Miller, daughter of Steve and Connie Miller, of Lebanon Church, is a senior at Strasburg High School. She is sponsored by the Strasburg Volunteer Fire Department.

• Kayla Reifke, daughter of Ed and Lee Reifke, of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, is a sophomore at Washington High School. She is sponsored by the Friendship Fire Department.

• Sarah Elizabeth Rhodes, daughter of Joseph and Anita Rhodes, of Toms Brook, is a senior at Central High School. She is sponsored by the Toms Brook Volunteer Fire Department.

• Trinity Web, daughter of Tammy Weber, of Front Royal, is a freshman at Lord Fairfax Community College and a graduate of Warren County High School. She is sponsored by North Warren Volunteer Fire and Rescue.

Tickets for the pageant are $5 and will be available at the door.
