Watson, who recently graduated from Wilson Memorial High School in Staunton, plans to attend James Madison University and major in math education.
Money for the scholarships was raised through donations and through the Chalk Walk held in April in conjunction with the Harrisonburg High School Future Educators of America Club. Donations for next year’s scholarships may be sent to Karen Whetzel, 9424 Shenandoah Drive, New Market 22844.
