The Rotary Club of New Market recently held its 10th annual benefit golf tournament at the Shenvalee Golf Resort in memory of Rotarians Lynda Krobath and Col. Albert Ray Brownfield III, who passed away in 2014.

The tournament attracted 21 foursomes.  There were more than 65 sponsors and more than 25 door prize donors.

Following the tournament, club President Jim Douglas presented a donation of $5,000 for the RMH Hahn Cancer Center.

A $1,000 check will also be presented to the Shenandoah Community Health Clinic in Woodstock. The New Market Library received $380 from a putting contest and $380 was raised for scholarships by a long-drive feature by the club pro. The balance of the proceeds will be used to fund local club projects.

The LD&B Insurance Company team won first flight trophies.
