Turbo, along with Victoria Zajko and Kelly Kennedy, authors of the “Turbo” book series, visited Randolph-Macon Academy on Sept. 13.

Turbo and his dog pal, Olive, are the subjects of two books – “Turbo the Flying Dog” and “Turbo Learns to Fly” – by Zajko and Kennedy, both pilots.

According to the authors, the books hope to help students learn more about opportunities in the aviation field. During the presentation, children were able to have their pictures taken with Turbo and participate in readings of both books. There were also aviation-themed crafts and games.

Amy Harriman, R-MA’s director of admission and financial aid, said, “We have our own flight program and both of our flight instructors, Laura Abraham and Ryan Koch, and three of our flight students helped at this event along with several other members of the R-MA community.”
