Cat family needs a loving home

STRASBURG – Three abandoned cats are looking for a new home.

The owner of the three cats passed away, and the cats have been living on their own since February.

“These cats need help,” said Ginger Taylor, who works for the String of Pearls Animal Sanctuaries Inc., an animal rescue group.

There is one older white female, Scruffy, one young white female, Snowball, and one young black and white male, Domino.

Taylor said the cats are very sweet and will come right up to people for affection.

Faye Kite, a Strasburg resident, who has been stopping by  to check up on the cats since August, said, “It just does your heart so good to see them.”

Kite said she would prefer that someone take all three cats to keep the family together, but understands three cats can be too much to handle for some households.

Kite said since the cats have been outside for almost a year, a veterinary check-up will be necessary. She said she would help pay for the veterinary appointment.

All of the cats have been spayed or neutered as well.
