New Covenant Church will hold a Christmas bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 72 N. Lake Ave., Front Royal.
Featured will be handmade items, accessories, clothes, housewares, natural soaps, baked goods and food. Information: 540-635-1774.
The Willing Hearts and Hands Outreach of Columbia Furnace Church of the Brethren will sponsor a craft bazaar and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Breakfast and lunch will be available.
The 4-H All Stars will hold an ornament workshop at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Shenandoah County Extension office in Woodstock. Information: 459-6140.
The Boyce, Millwood and White Post United Methodists churches will sponsor a Christmas Shoppe from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and Dec. 12 at 158 White Post Road in White Post. Proceeds will benefit food baskets.
Bowman Library in Stephens City will be accepting donations of books, DVDs and CDs from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday for the spring used book sale in March.

The New Market Area Library will hold a month-long book sale from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday as part of the ‘Tis the Season Day Celebration.
The library will reopen at 5:30 p.m. following the town parade for story telling and visits with Santa. The book sale will continue throughout December during regular library hours.
The Church of the Rock Clothing Ministry will offer free clothing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at John Wesley Methodist Church in Front Royal.
The Humane Society of Warren County will hold its fall wellness clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Julia Wagner Animal Shelter, 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal.
One- and three-year rabies vaccines will be available for $12. Home Again microchip implantation, distemper vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, nail clipping and ear cleaning will also be available. Dogs must be on leashes and cats in carriers. Information: 540-635-4734.
The St. Nicholas Day craft sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Leeds Parish Hall in Markham. Information: 540-364-1198.

Samuels Public Library will hold a Kooky Chefs program where children 7 and older will cook foods featured in the movie “The Chronicles of Narnia” at 11 a.m. Saturday. Registration, information: 540-635-3153.
Bowman Library in Stephens City will hold the following programs on Saturday:
• Jingle bell rock party: 11 a.m., youth will make jingle bell bracelets and elf headbands, decorate bells and candy canes, listen to Christmas stories, participate in a sing along with the puppets and have refreshments.
• Paws for Reading: 1 to 2:15 p.m., for children to read a favorite book to a canine tutor.

The Mt. Clifton United Methodist Women will serve a country ham potpie lunch beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday at 31 Mt. Clifton Church Lane, Mount Jackson. Quarts will be available for carry out.
The Fork Improvement Association will hold a Christmas party at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bethel Community Center at the corner of Kendrick Ford Road and Totten Lane, Front Royal. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish.
The Edinburg VFW Post #2447 will host a children’s Christmas party from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The Strasburg Christian Church will host a live Nativity with animals people can pet on Saturday following the town’s tree lighting at the Town Hall parking lot. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served.
Wakemans Grove Church of the Brethren will sponsor “Walk through Bethlehem” about the journey the Magi took to baby Jesus’ manger from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Ham radio club
The Amateur Ham Radio Operators Club will meet at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Cook’s Exxon in Woodstock. Information: Malcolm, 436-8503.
St. John’s United Church of Christ-Harrisville will host a candlelight Christmas service starting at 4 p.m. Saturday with readings and songs. Refreshments will follow.
Dec. 7 is the deadline to register for a holiday workshop sponsored by the Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation Department from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 14 at the county Government Center in Woodstock for ages 9 to 13.
Youth will make a variety of crafts and Christmas cookies, play reindeer games, decorate and take a possible field trip.
