LFCC seeks input on bus service
Lord Fairfax Community College is seeking input concerning the need for public transportation to its Middletown campus.
The college is conducting a survey as part of a public transportation feasibility study. The KFH Group, a consulting firm that specializes in the transit industry, is conducting the study with funding assistance through the Northern Shenandoah Valley Regional Commission. The study is expected to be completed by the end of January.
A survey has been made available online and in several physical locations to gather input to help determine the feasibility of implementing a public transportation service to link the campus at 173 Skirmisher Lane to population centers in the region. Surveys need to be completed by Nov. 30 and can be accessed online at http://tinyurl.com/nlgfznl or http://tinyurl.com/pjxtxgg
Paper copies of the survey have been placed at Handley Library , 100 W. Piccadilly St., Winchester; Bowman Library, 871 Tasker Road, Stephens City; and at the college’s Welcome Desk & Adult Education Office.
A separate survey targeted directly to current LFCC students, faculty and staff is also being conducted for the study.
