Closings
The following offices will be closed for the Christmas holiday:
• The Town of Mount Jackson office will be closed Thursday and Friday.
• All branches of the Handley Regional Library (Handley, Bowman and Clarke County) will be closed Thursday and Friday.
• The Shenandoah County Extension office in Woodstock will be closed Thursday and Friday.
• The Frederick County Regional Landfill will close at noon on Thursday and Saturday. The landfill and all citizen convenience sites will be closed Friday.

Fellowship Bible
The Fellowship Bible Church will present “Fear Not” from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at 3217 Middle Road, Winchester. Information: 540-662-7743 or www.fbcva.org.

Children’s pageant
The children of Walnut Springs Christian Church in Strasburg will present a pageant, “Mary Remembers,” at 6 p.m. Thursday. A candle lighting service will follow.

Children’s program
St. John’s Lutheran Church will hold a children’s program and candlelight service at 6 p.m. Thursday at 3623 Back Mountain Road, Winchester.

Christmas services
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Strasburg will hold two worship services on Thursday.
Special Christmas prelude and candlelight services will be held at 6:30 and 10:30 p.m. The second service will include Holy Communion.

Christmas service
Wakemans Grove Church of the Brethren in Edinburg will hold a service of lessons and carols at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The Grove youth band, junior choir, adult choir and Acappella Bella will provide special music.

Family service
Mount Olive Baptist Church in Stephens City will hold a family worship service at 7 p.m. Thursday featuring Christmas songs, sing-a-longs and Christmas readings. Information: 540-931-5242.

Candlelight service
Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Front Royal will hold a candlelight service at 8 p.m. Thursday. Information: 540-635-5859.

Christmas service
Grace United Church of Christ in Mount Jackson will hold a Christmas service at 8 p.m. Thursday.
