More than 400 children and parents attended a program led by several Stonewall Jackson High School organizations on Dec. 5 at the school to raise money for “A Small Hand,” a community outreach program in Edinburg that provides formula, food, diapers and hygiene essentials to low-income families in need.
The Interact group, led by Nayeli Juarez, managed the Candy Land activities, raising nearly $200. Other clubs involved were the National Honor Society and History, Art and World Language clubs.
The Student Council Association served a light breakfast for a nominal fee, raising over $100.
