‘War Room’ shown
Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Front Royal will show “War Room,” a PG-rated movie exploring the power of prayer with humor and heart, at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Quilters guild
The Shenandoah Valley Quilters Guild will hold its annual auction with show and tell and raffle at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sunnyside Retirement Community, 100 Sunnyside Drive, Harrisonburg.

Ham radio club

Fort Valley 4-H
The Fort Valley 4-H Fire and Rescue Club will meet at 4 p.m. Sunday at the fire department. Information: 459-6140.

Clothes distribution
The Salvation Army will distribute winter outerwear from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Jan. 22 at 357 Cloud St., Front Royal.

Hats, coats, gloves and scarves will be available to the community on a first-come first-served basis while supplies last. Information: 540-635-4020.

Chicken dinner
The Edinburg Fire Company will sponsor a fried chicken dinner from 11 a.m. until sold out on Sunday.

The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Menu includes chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, applesauce and desserts.
