Bible study
Mid-Week Manna, a weekly Bible study, will be held from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. Tuesdays at the old Shenandoah County Courthouse in Woodstock.

The study will be led by PG and Barbara Coverstone of HOPE of the Gospel Ministries in partnership with Charis Bible Studies. Light refreshments will be served. Child care not provided. Information: hopeofthegospel@outlook.com.

Book club
Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will host the Books and Beyond Book Club at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

This month’s discussion will be Elizabeth Gilbert’s book “The Signature of All Things,” the story about the life of a young woman born in the Age of Enlightenment, but living well into the Industrial Revolution, who bears witness to that moment in history when old assumptions on science, religion, commerce and class explode into new ideas.

The Winchester Area Newcomers Club, a social club for women, will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Opequon Presbyterian Church in Kernstown.
