Local 4-H pubic speaking contest winners announced

Winners have been announced in the recent Shenandoah County 4-H public speaking contest.

Senior contest winners were:

• Hannah Orndorff, of the 4-H Exchange and Honor clubs, first place.

• Anna Rankin, of the Toms Brook 4-H, second place.

Intermediate category winners were:

• Peter Dorham, of the Fort Valley 4-H, first place.

Junior contest winners were:

• Erin Reiley, of the St. Luke-Saumsville 4-H, first place.

• Marie-Claire desRosiers, of the Fort Valley and Livestock 4-H clubs, second place.

The top two winners in each age group will advance to the district competition on April 23 in Warren County.

Juniors who also won blue ribbons were:
• Mason Fisher, of the Toms Brook 4-H.

• Kerrigan Bauserman and Erin Van Norton, of the Lebanon Church 4-H, and  Jerome Dorham, of the Fort Valley 4-H, received red ribbons.
In the senior division:

• Sabrina Bauserman, of the Lebanon Church 4-H, and Sam Clark, of the 4-H Lonestar, received blue ribbons.

• James Clark, of the 4-H Lonestar, received a red ribbon.
Local 4-H All Stars served as judges.
