Card shower

A card shower is planned for Carl (Denny) Heishman, who will celebrate his 96th birthday today. Cards can be sent to 5907 John Marshall Highway, Lebanon Church 22641.
Dog adoption event

Shenandoah Motors and the Humane Society of Warren County will hold a dog adoption event and donation drive from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Shenandoah Buick GMC, 9015 Winchester Road, Front Royal.

Handley Library

Handley Library in Winchester will hold the following children’s story times in March:

  • Preschool: 10:30 a.m., Mondays, for ages 3 and up.
  • Baby Time: 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays, for ages birth to 15 months.
  • Stories with a Sheriff: 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, for all ages.
  • Pajama Time: 6 p.m., Wednesday and March 16 and 30, for all ages.
  • Toddler Time: 10:30 a.m., Thursdays, for ages 3 and under.

  • Toddler Time: 11 a.m., Mondays, for ages 3 and under.
  • Twilight Tales: 6 p.m., Tuesdays, for all ages.
  • Story Time: 11 a.m., Wednesday, for ages 2-5.
  • Baby Time: 11 a.m., Thursdays, for ages birth to 15 months.
  • Preschool Time: 11 a.m., Saturdays, for ages 3 and up.

County Extension

The Shenandoah County Extension office in Woodstock has announced the following activities:

  • Leadership Council orientation: 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Extension office. A meeting of the council will follow at 7 p.m.
  • Seven Bends 4-H Shooting Education Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Round Hill Church of the Brethren.
  • Edinburg FCE Club will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Extension office.
  • Shenandoah County 4-H/FFA livestock show and sale executive committee will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Extension office. Information: 459-6140.

 

Computer club

The Shenandoah Valley Computer Club will meet from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Shenandoah County Library in Edinburg.

 

Rotary club

Susan Lehrer, a club member and exchange student alumni, will be the speaker at the meeting of the Rotary Club of Frederick County at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at Shenandoah Valley Westminster Canterbury in Winchester.

GED classes

Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will hold the following children’s story times in March:

  • Time for Baby: 11 a.m., Tuesday, for ages up to 2 (siblings welcome).

  • Toddler: 10:15 a.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays.
  • Preschool: 11 a.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays.
