Bloom princesses selected to serve
Four area women have been selected to serve as princesses in the Court of Queen Shenandoah LXXXIX during the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival April 22 through May 1.
Saydie Arnette, a senior at James Wood High School, is the daughter of Rebecca and Edward Arnette, of Winchester. She is the granddaughter of Debbie and Danny Boyce, of Yellow Springs, West Viginia, and Sue and Bob Cheves, of Delray, West Virginia. She is the great-granddaughter of Wink and Elton Judy, of Shanks, West Virginia.
Taylor Linder, a senior at Millbrook High School, is the daughter of Heather and John Linder, of Winchester. She is the granddaughter of Beverly and David Phillips, of Grimstead; Rosemary and Fuldo Orsini, of Gainesville; Betty Linder, of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; and the late Herbert Linder.
Katherine “Katie” Nerangis, a senior at John Handley High School, is the daughter of Shelly and Nick Nerangis, of Winchester. She is the granddaughter of Carolyn and Terry Plank and Kathy and Nick Nerangis, all of Winchester.
Taylor Jones, a senior at Randolph Macon Academy, is the daughter of Brenda and Rick Jones, of Front Royal. She is the granddaughter of Margaret and David Everly, of Frederick, Maryland, and the late Rosalind and Emmet Jones.
The princesses will participate in the coronation ceremony on April 29 at John Handley High School and ride on the queen’s float in the Grand Feature Parade on April 30.
