Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will host a workshop on Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia at 6 pm. Wednesday. The workshop will offer tips on how to have an honest and caring conversation with family members concerning the diseases. Registration required. Information: 540-635-3153.

Cabin Hill 4-H

Support group

Pet adoption event
The Humane Society of Warren County is holding a special lucky charm adoption event Thursday through Sunday. People can adopt a dog or cat for $7 (excludes puppies under 5 months and does not include spay/neuter).

The society is also holding a fundraising raffle. There will be 100 chances sold at $10 each for four Walt Disney World one-day hopper passes and a 24-inch stuffed Olaf. The winner will be announced by May 4. Proceeds will benefit the Hand in Paw Fund. Visit the shelter daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (except Wednesdays) at 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal, to purchase a ticket.
