The New Market Area Library continued the tradition of hosting Read Across America for local children on Dr. Seuss’ birthday, March 2.

Members of the Shenandoah County Retired Teachers Association, as well as students from North Fork Middle and Stonewall Jackson High schools and Shenandoah Valley Academy, came out to help read to about 50 children, helped them cook green eggs and ham, did face painting, served refreshments and gave out treats.
