The following are some of the area events that will be held this weekend:

Orchid show/sale
The Lord Fairfax Orchid Society will hold an orchid show and sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, 901 Amherst St., Winchester.

Sky Meadows
Sky Meadows State Park in Delaplane will hold a bluebirds program from noon-4 p.m. Saturday. Learn about bluebirds, their nesting habits and the work of volunteers for the 88 bluebird boxes throughout the park.

Library movie
Handley Library will show the PG-rated movie “Cinderella” at noon Saturday. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch. Information: www.handleyregional.org.

Belle Grove
Shenandoah Valley artist P. Buckley Moss will sign copies of her print “Spring at Belle Grove” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Belle Grove Plantation in Middletown. Admission will be discounted $5 for the event. ACT Theatrical
Your ACT Theatrical will open the new season with “Doubt: a Parable” at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday at Shenandoah University, East Campus Ballroom, 1017 Millwood Pike, Winchester.

Set in 1964 at St. Nicholas, a Catholic school in the Bronx, the 2005 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play examines the human tendency to convict others with our own convictions and to doubt others with our own doubts.  Tickets: $7 for adults, $6 for students/seniors. Information, tickets: 540-686-1429 or www.youract.ticketleap.com.

Bright Box
Bright Box Theater has announced the following activities this weekend at 15 N. Loudoun St., Winchester:
• Concert: 7 p.m., today. Joe Herrmann, Sam Herrmann, David McLaughlin and Marshall Wilborn, former and current members of Springfield Exit, Lynn Morris Band, Johnson Mountain Boys and the Critton Hollow String Band, will perform. Tickets: $8 in advance, $10 at the door.
• Comedy shows: 8 p.m. today and 7 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday, comedians Mike Storck and Jimmy Meritt will perform. Tickets: $15 in advance, $18 at the door.

JMU exhibit
James Madison is the focus of an exhibit on display now through April 28 in the Lisanby Museum at James Madison University’s Forbes Center. Information: www.jmuforbescenter.com.

The Garden Brothers Circus, a production of Ice Capades producers, comes to town with shows at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Sportsplex Sports & Events Center, 221 Commonwealth Court, Winchester.

Featured will be live elephants, motorcycle daredevils somersaulting and spinning in a big Globe of Doom, Chinese acrobats, the Human Slingshot, racing camels, crazy comedy with circus clowns, daring aerialists and cirque artists.

Free children’s tickets have been distributed at all elementary schools, preschools, day-care centers and churches. The first 100 adult tickets sold online are $9.95 at www.gardenbroscircus.com.
