Chicken BBQs
The Hudson Cross Roads Men’s Group will hold a chicken barbecue on Saturday at Hudson Cross Roads. Cost is $4 per half, and chicken will be ready at 8:30 a.m. Proceeds will benefit the new parking lot.

Saint Paul Lutheran Church – Jerome will hold a chicken barbecue at 11:45 a.m. Sunday to benefit Relay for Life.

Annual Day
The Mount Vernon Baptist Church Missionary Ministry in Front Royal will celebrate Annual Day at 3 p.m. Sunday. Special speaker will be the Rev. Rodney Smith, pastor at Mt. Nebo-Morgantown. His choir and congregation will be special guests. Lunch will be served after the morning service.

4-H meeting
The Cabin Hill 4-H Club and Cloverbuds will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Conicville Fire Department. Information: 540-459-6140.

Baptist service
The Youth Ministry at Mount Olive Baptist Church will lead the service at 11 a.m. Sunday. They will share a youthful biblical focus in story, drama and song. Information: 540-667-7081.

Seniors prom
The Sherando High School FFA will host a Senior Citizen’s Masquerade Prom 2-5 p.m. Sunday in the school commons/gym. Music will be provided by Mr. Moss DJ. RSVP: 540-869-0060 and ask for the agriculture department.

UMC concert
The Kernstown United Methodist Church Symphonic Winds will present a spring concert at 7 p.m. Sunday. The concert will benefit C-CAP.

Biker Sunday
Restoration Fellowship Church in Strasburg will celebrate Biker Sunday at 11 a.m. Sunday. Rolling Thunder will be in attendance and a lunch will be served following the service for all bikers and their families.

Lunch Bunch
The Lunch Bunch will meet at noon on Monday at the Strasburg United Methodist Church. Reservations: 465-3418

Council meeting
The Shenandoah County Association Family and Community Education Council will meet at 10 a.m. Monday at the Shenandoah County Extension office in Woodstock. Information: 540-459-6140.

Kiwanis Club
The Kiwanis Club of Old Town meets at noon on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at the Godfrey Miller Home on the Loudoun Street Pedestrian Mall. Grant writing
The Adult Services Division of the Handley Regional Library will host two grant writing workshops, at noon and 5 p.m. Monday. “Grant Seeking Basics: Finding Funding for Nonprofits” will focus on resources available through the Funding Information Network Partnership, tips on how to identify funding sources, and a demonstration of the Foundation Directory Online.
