New pastor

Dr. Rick A. Clark has been named pastor of Blue Ridge Grace Brethren Church, 1025 Cedar Creek Grade, Winchester.

Clark, and his wife Cindy moved here from Ebensburg, Pennsylvania, where they started a church that has grown to be self-supporting. Before that, he pastored churches in Pennsylvania in Johnstown and Manheim.

A pastor for 33 years, he graduated from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana.

The couple have three grown children and seven grandchildren.

Church dedication

The Church of the Rock located at 20 E. 8th St., Front Royal, will hold a dedication service at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The Rev. Dr. Al Ford will deliver the message. A fellowship meal will be served at 1:30 pm.


St. Luke Baptist

St. Luke Baptist Church in Berryville will hold a combined worship service with Worshiping Without Walls Ministries at 11 a.m. Sunday. Special guest speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Jonetta Carter, pastor of Worshiping Without Walls Ministries.



Community Mission Church of the Brethren will hold spring revival services at 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday.

Guest speaker will be Jan Orndorff. Special music nightly will be provided by Cook’s Creek Boys Blue Grass Gospel on Sunday, The Dill’s on Monday, First Light on Tuesday and Lee Pugh on Wednesday. A Love Feast and Communion will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday.


Performing Arts 

The Front Royal Presbyterian Church will present its Performing Arts Series at 3 p.m. Sunday. The program will feature the Blue Ridge Choristers and Top of Virginia Children and Youth Choirs from the Winchester area.  A free will offering will be accepted.
