Card showers

Plant sale
The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley will hold a heritage plant sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday at 901 Amherst St., Winchester.

Nearly 100 types of plants will be for sale, from annuals, perennials, heirloom vegetables, trees and shrubs, based on their ability to thrive in Shenandoah Valley gardens.

MSV horticulturist Chantal Ludder will give a free talk at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. today on historic, heirloom and unusual plants. Admission for the two-day event is free.

Italian dinner
Boy Scout Troop 4 will host an Italian dinner and silent auction fundraiser from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, 14 W. First St., Front Royal.

The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children 3 to 12.

Kiwanis Club
Jaimianne Amicucci with Shenandoah Arts will be the speaker at the luncheon meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Old Town at noon on Monday at the Godfrey Miller Home on the Old Town Mall in Winchester.

Computer class
Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation will offer a basic computer class for people 55 and older from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the county Government Center in Woodstock. Cost is $25. Information, registration: 459-6777.

Roundtable lunch
The Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce will host a roundtable luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Hampton Inn in Woodstock. The program will be “Take the ‘Work’ Out of Networking.”

Lunch is $10 and can be paid in advance or at the door.  Registration required by emailing: director@shenandoahcountychamber.com.

Marketing series
The Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce, Java Media and the town of New Market will hold the fourth session of a marketing series from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Shenvalee Golf Resort.

The program will be on Facebook page management.

Ballet class
Warren County Parks and Recreation will offer Ballet I from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. on Tuesdays through June 28 at the R.E.S. Youth Center.

The class is designed for the beginner or first/second year dance student and is open to both boys and girls ages 4-9. Cost is $55 per student for the six-week session. A minimum of five students are needed. Information: zumba.lizi@gmial.com.

Warren-Page NAACP
The Warren-Page NAACP will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Warren County Community Center in Front Royal. Information: 703-855-5382.

Golf tournament
The annual Rotary Club of Woodstock Golf Tournament will be held June 15 at Bryce Resort in Basye.

Entry fee is $90 per player and includes two Mulligans, driving range balls and an evening awards banquet. Proceeds will benefit area youth programs.
