La Leche League

The North Mountain Lutheran Parish will hold a bake and floral arrangement sale starting at 9 a.m. Saturday in front of First Bank in Strasburg. Proceeds will benefit Relay for Life.

A chicken barbecue, by Shawn Rutz, will be held Saturday at Tractor Supply in Woodstock sponsored by Mt. Calvary UCC to benefit multiple charities. Chicken will be ready at 9 a.m.
A chicken barbecue to benefit the First Baptist Church Woodstock Relay for Life Team will be held starting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday beside Katie’s Kustard and First Bank in Woodstock.

Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Winchester will hold a gyrofest and bazaar on Saturday.
The bazaar will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the church hall. Gyros will be served from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission is free. Proceeds benefit the local Phloptochus chapter of Friends of the Poor.
Bowman Library in Stephens City will hold the following story times during May:
Preschool time: 11 a.m., Saturday and May 14 and 28, for ages 3 and up.
Toddler time: 11 a.m., May 16 and 23, for ages 3 and under.
Twilight Tales: 6 p.m., May 17, 24 and 31, for all ages.
Story time: 11 a.m., May 18 and 25, for ages 2-5.
Baby time: 11 a.m., May 19 and 26, for ages birth to 15 months.
Paws for Reading with therapy dogs: 1 p.m., May 21.
Tea for Two
Handley Library will host Tea for Two at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday for ages 7 to 12.
Youth attending are asked to dress up and bring their favorite adult and doll or stuffed animal for an afternoon of tea and refreshments. Children will make a craft.

Samuels Public Library in Front Royal, in cooperation with Northwestern Community Services and the Warren County Coalition, will host the final session of a panel discussion on substance abuse at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the library.
Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will host “Discuss This” at 2 p.m. Saturday for ages 12 to 19 who are inspired by good books, articles, movies and art or who write, draw or enjoy playing music.
Boy Scout Troop 46 will hold a pulled pork barbecue dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Stephenson. Cost is $9 for the pulled pork meal or $4 for the children’s hot dog meal. Proceeds will help scouts attend camp.
Oak Level United Methodist Church, in celebration of Christian Home Month, will hold a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at 1809 Camp Roosevelt Road, Fort Valley.
A freewill offering will be accepted to benefit Stop Hunger Now and church outreach programs. Carryouts available.
