Bethany Lutheran

Pastor William R. Balance Jr. will preach at the 2:30 p.m. worship service on Sunday at Bethany Lutheran Church northwest of Columbia Furnace.

 

Camp meeting
A Coming Together camp meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday through Friday and 5 and 7 p.m. May 28 at the Flint Hill carnival grounds. A baptism service will be held at 4 p.m. May 29 at Rock Mills.

The camp meeting will featuring the following speakers and special music:

Sunday: Pastor Jimbo Pitman with music by his church musicians.

Monday: Brother Randy Thompson with music by Pastor David Clanagan and the Love and Faithfulness Church Choir.

Tuesday: Pastor Jeff Light and the Sheids family.

Wednesday: Brother Ronald Chunn and the Kingdom Blues Singers.

Thursday: Pastor Farron Tyree with music by Bobby Wharton and Riverbend Bluegrass Gospel.

Friday: Sister Donna Lynch with music by Terri Lawson.

May 28: Brother Steve Foster and his mule Grace at 5 p.m. followed by Sister Ashley Repass Shifflett and music by Todd Shifflett at 7 p.m.

Mount Olive Baptist

Mount Olive Baptist Church will hold a day-long celebration of the new church building on Sunday at 7893 Senseney Ave., Middletown.

Guest preachers will be the Rev. Alfred Woods, associate minister of the First Baptist Church in Front Royal, at 11 a.m. and the Rev. Dr. Franklin Roberts, pastor of the 2nd Guildfield Baptist Church in Front Royal, at 3 p.m.

Mt. Zion Methodist

The Rev. Rosemary Carter, of Staunton, will be the speaker at 3 p.m. Sunday celebrating the 147th anniversary of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Strasburg. Anointed Voices will provide special music. Lunch will be served prior to the service.

 

Shenandoah Fellowship

Michael O’Brien, former lead singer for NewSong, will perform at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Shenandoah Community Fellowship, 197 Patmos Road, Woodstock.

First Church

Brother Stanley Douglass, of Tidewater, will lead revival services at 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday at the First Church of Columbia Furnace in Edinburg. Special music will be featured each night.
