The following are some of the area events that will be held this weekend:
“Dancing at Lughnasa,” Brian Friel’s play set in Donegal, Ireland, with classic Irish drama and humor, will be performed at 8 p.m. today and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Winchester Little Theatre, 315 W. Boscawen St., Winchester. Future performances will be held May 19-21.

More than 60 interactive exhibits highlighting education, art, music and sports will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday on the Loudoun Street Pedestrian Mall and at the Taylor Pavillion in Winchester.
Presented by Valley Pediatric Dentistry, the event will include performances throughout the day, exhibits, musical instrument demonstrations, gymnastics, sports inflatables, games, soccer ball juggle, free-throw shooting, football tossing and car seat check.

Schultz Theatre in New Market will present two weekends of “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike,” by Christopher Durang, starting at 7 p.m. today and Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday. The play is the winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play and explores the relationship between the main characters as they share a home. Tickets are $13 for adults and $11 for students and seniors. The play is not recommended for children younger than 12. Additional performances will be 7 p.m. May 20 and 21 and at 3 p.m. May 22. Warren County Parks and Recreation will offer “Take Award Winning Photos” 10:30 a.m.-noon Saturday and May 21 at the Warren County Community Center. From the Heart
The Community Center in Bethel, corner of Totten and Kendrick Ford Roads, Front Royal, will host a musical gathering at 4 p.m. Saturday. Music will be provided by From The Heart, with John Landis and special visit by singer and guitarist Donnie Poe. Food will be provided by the ladies of the Center. The former neighborhood school has been maintained for community events by the Fork Improvement Association since 1952. Information: 540-671-6196.
Boy Scout Troop 39 of Purcellville will hold a Lego fan event and fundraiser “Scouting for Bricks” from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Heritage High School in Leesburg. The family-oriented event will feature displays, members of the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area Lego Train and Mindstorms Robots clubs, vendors, custom minifigures and a hands-on play area with millions of Lego bricks and Duplo Blocks. Information: www.s4b.troop39.us.
The Animal Rescue Fund will hold its seventh annual Dog Fest and Bazaar from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Fox Hall Farm, 10166 Glimpse of Heaven Lane, Delaplane. Admission is $100 per adult and includes an $80 tax deductible donation. Children and leashed dogs will be admitted free. Featured will be food, wine and other beverages, a silent auction, raffles, door prizes, pony rides, classic cars, entertainment and some interesting animals (like a skunk that doesn’t smell.)
The Warren County Chapter Izaak Walton League and the Northern Shenandoah Valley Trout Unlimited will host Youth Outdoor Day 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the Izaak Walton Park in Browntown. Activities for children 3-15 include archery, nature walks, bird watching and identification, fly tying and casting, face painting and more. Fishing starts at 3 p.m. for ages 15 and younger. A Gospel Blue Grass Concert will be held 2-6 p.m. Sunday to benefit Alex’s Warriors Relay for Life Team. The concert will be held at Bob and Flo Coverstone’s Farm in Fort Valley. Groups include Five of a Kind, SBG Girls, Browntown Boys, Macedonia UMC and Jerry Williams. There will also be a pie, cake and bread auction. Bring your own chairs.
