Chicken barbecue
Edinburg VFW Post 2447 will sell chicken barbecue starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. Orders must be picked up by 1 p.m. Cost: $4 per half. Pre-orders welcome.

Bible school

Food pantry
The Bread of Life Food Pantry in Woodstock will distribute food from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Dance party

Business After Hours
Swover Creek Farms and the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival will host the Shenandoah County Chamber’s Business After Hours social at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Swover Creek Farms in Edinburg. The Shenandoah Valley Music Festival will be sharing its upcoming season schedule.

Food distribution
The Compassion Cupboard will distribute food from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at 533 Burgess St., Strasburg. Information: 465-9476.

College news
Makenzie Kline graduated on May 14 from Lord Fairfax Community College. She was also named to the dean’s list for the spring semester.  She is the daughter of Michael and Cecilia Kline and granddaughter of Betty and Cecil Miller of Strasburg and Marie Kline of Maurertown.
