Front Royal Brethren
Front Royal Church of the Brethren will hold vacation Bible school from 9 to 11:30 a.m. through Thursday for ages 3 through fifth grade.

Business workshop
The Shenandoah County and New Market Chambers of Commerce and Town of New Market will offer a workshop on staying relevant to a changed customer at 6 p.m. today at the town hall, 9418 John Sevier Road.

Support group
The monthly meeting of the Type 2 Diabetes Support Group will be held at 5:45 p.m. today at the Mall Conference Room (next to Subway), Medical Office Building 1, 1840 Amherst St., Winchester.

Spiritual cinema
Unity of the Shenandoah in Stephens City will hold a spiritual cinema night showing the movie “Re-Imagining Jesus” at 8 p.m. Friday.

Yard sale/BBQ chicken
The Women of the Mount Jackson Moose will hold a yard sale and sell barbecue chicken on Saturday at 244 Dutch Lane, Mount Jackson.

Master Gardeners
The Shenandoah County Master Gardeners will be available to answer home horticultural questions from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the South Street Barn Market at the Woodstock American Legion parking lot. Information: 459-6140.

Chicken BBQ
Chicken barbecue will be sold to benefit Christ United Church of Christ in Conicville starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Tractor Supply in Woodstock.

Farmer’s market
The Front Royal Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Main and Chester streets.

Ice cream social
Bennett’s Chapel United Methodist Church will host an ice cream social and bake sale from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at 839 Rivermont Drive, Front Royal. Proceeds benefit an upcoming mission trip.

Dinner, auction
Laurel Hill Christian Church will hold a ham and chicken dinner and auction on Saturday at 378 Laurel Hill Way, Strasburg.

Adult workshop
The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley will hold a workshop on making Art Nouveau floral arrangements from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at 901 Amherst St., Winchester.

Those attending are encouraged to arrive early to tour the exhibition Alphonse Mucha: Master of Art Nouveau.

The cost is $50 or $45 for MSV members, which includes admission and refreshments.
