Organization awards scholarships

The Shenandoah Valley Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa International recently awarded three scholarships to future teachers:

• English Jackson, the daughter of Brian and Rachel Jackson, of Grottoes, is a senior at Spotswood High School. She plans to major in English at James Madison University in the fall.

• Lacey Johnson, the daughter of Dawn Hoover, of Stephens City, is a senior at Sherando High School. She plans to attend James Madison University in the fall and major in special education.

•Abagail Fahringer, the daughter of Donna and Larney Fahringer, of Middletown, is a senior at Sherando High School. She plans to major in elementary education at Shenandoah University in the fall.
