Shenandoah County Public Schools is participating in the summer food service program, which provides meals to children without charge.
Meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday starting on Monday and running through Aug. 11 at the following locations:
• Ashby Lee Elementary School, 480 Stonewall Lane, Quicksburg.
• W.W. Robinson Elementary School, 1231 Susan Ave., Woodstock.

Ice cream social
The Woodstock Museum will hold an old-fashioned ice cream social from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday on the lawn of the museum’s Wickham House on Lawyers Row.
Baked goods, soda and water will also be sold. Wildflower, will perform folk, country and patriotic music. Neil Conner will display some of his vintage military vehicles.
Proceeds benefit installing a climate control system in the Wickham House. Information: 540-335-2162.
Ice cream social
St. Peter Lutheran Church in Toms Brook will hold an indoor ice cream social at 4 p.m. Saturday. Barbecue and hot dogs will also be sold.
Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will host a salsa dance class for all ability levels at 2 p.m. Saturday. The instructor will be Erly Moya. Information: 540-635-3153.
Round Hill Brethren
Round Hill Church of the Brethren in Toms Brook will host a showing of the movie “90 Minutes in Heaven” at 6 p.m. Saturday.
The Markley and Hottel families will hold a reunion on Sunday at the Hotteltown homestead, 463 Hotteltown Lane, Edinburg.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided starting at 10:30 a.m. with lunch served at 1 p.m. Information: 984-8881.
The Bauserman family will hold a picnic at 1 p.m. Sunday at a new location, the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church Parish House, 12180 Back Road, Toms Brook. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish. Eating utensils provided.
St. Paul Lutheran
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Strasburg will hold vacation Bible school for all ages from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. The theme will be “Surf Shack.”

The Plauger family will hold a reunion at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Fort Valley Fire Department.
Descendants of the James F. and Emma C. Bowers family will hold a reunion on Sunday at Valley Pike Church of the Brethren in Maurertown.
Lunch will be at 12:30 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish, dessert and drinks. Paper plates, utensils and cups will be provided.
