Pressure canner testing
The Shenandoah County Extension office will offer free pressure canner gauge testing from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Woodstock office.

Pressure canner lids and/or attached gauge can be dropped off in advance or brought to the office during testing times. Weighted-style gauges are not tested.

Library program
Kim and Jimbo will present a program on famous races and riddles at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rebel Park. The event is sponsored by the New Market Area Library. Information: Karen Whetzel, 740-8589.

Lunchtime music series
Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will host Kurt Schlesinger during its lunchtime music series Vibes in the Libes at 12:30 p.m. Friday. Those attending are encouraged to bring their lunch. Information: 540-635-3153.

Teen program
Handley Library in Winchester will hold Craftnooners from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday where teens will make a smart phone speaker. Information: www.handleyregional.org.

4-H camp
The Shenandoah County Extension office will hold a 4-H day camp from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 25-28 at the New Market Town Park for ages 7 to 12. The theme will be “Learning By Doing.”

Cost is $95. Kids do not need to be a 4-H member to attend. Registration required by calling 459-6140 or online at www.scprsignup.info.
