Narrow Passage DAR
The Narrow Passage chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Woodstock Town Hall. The speaker will be Susan Walls, an officer with the local chapter and a committee chair at state and national levels. Information: 856-3426.
The Shenandoah County Library will hold its finale picnic for its annual summer reading program at noon Thursday at Edinburg Park’s big shelter.There will be hot dogs, chips, drinks and a cold treat. Prizes will be awarded. Registration: 984-8200.
Money management clinic
The Virginia Cooperative Extension is offering money management clinics throughout the Northern Shenandoah Valley beginning today through Oct. 26. The clinics are free, however, preregistration is required by noon the day prior to the clinic attending.
Each clinic will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the following dates and towns: Today: Woodstock; Aug. 30: Luray; Sept. 8: Front Royal; Sept. 12: Winchester; Sept. 20: Woodstock; Sept. 21: Berryville; Sept. 27: Stanley; Oct. 26: Berryville.

Central HS reunion
Sept. 1 is the deadline to register to attend Central High School’s class of 1966 reunion on Oct. 14-15. Information: Peggy at 459-5028.
Sept. 3 is the deadline to register to participate in a fall bazaar hosted by American Legion Auxiliary Post 53 on Sept. 10 in Front Royal. Table rentals are $20. Information: 540-635-9341.
The Front Royal Tree Stewards will host the class “All About Trees” from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays starting Sept. 6 for seven weeks at the Warren County Community Center.
There will also be five half-day Saturday sessions that will include a visit to the State Arboretum.
The cost is $60 per person or $90 per couple. Individual class sessions are $10 per class.
