Samuels Library
Samuels Public Library in Front Royal has announced the following activities:
Tuesday: 3:30 p.m., big kids story time, ages 6 and older. Theme: magic.
Wednesday and Thursday: 10:15 a.m., toddler story time; 11 a.m., preschool story time. Theme: snakes, turtles and lizards. Siblings welcome.
Friday: 1 p.m., Super Reptiles Alive. Children will learn about snakes and lizards.

Rotary meeting
The Rotary Club of Frederick County will meet at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at Shenandoah Valley Westminster Canterbury in Winchester.

4-H meetings
The Shenandoah County Extension office has announced the following 4-H groups will meet:
• St. Luke-Saumsville 4-H Club and Cloverbuds will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Saumsville Christian Church.
• The 4-H Livestock Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wakemans Grove Church of the Brethren.

‘Under the stars’
Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will host Sultry Summer Nights Under the Stars at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Discover the stars of the summer sky, Mars, the rings of Saturn and craters on the moon. Telescope viewing begins at 8 p.m. Information: 540-635-3153.

Beekeepers
The Beekeepers of the Northern Shenandoah will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Community Church, 2333 Roosevelt St., Winchester. Information: 540-877-1509.

Scholarship awarded
Ashton Duncan, a member of the Central High School Future Farmers of America chapter, has been awarded a $1,000 Kent Nutrition Group Inc. scholarship, a special project of the National FFA Foundation.
