FRONT ROYAL – Penny, a 2-year-old black and white pit mix, is waiting to give the right family her love.

Penny was surrendered to the Humane Society of Warren County on Aug. 3.

Morgan Frantz, canine kennel attendant at the shelter, said that Penny would make a great addition to any family.

“She’s very, very sweet,” she said.

Penny is great around other dogs. She hasn’t been tested around cats or children, but Frantz doesn’t anticipate them to pose a concern for Penny.

Penny loves to receive and give attention. She enjoys being petted and will roll on the ground and show her belly for belly rubs. She is playful with both her human and canine friends and enjoys any love given to her.

Frantz said she anticipates Penny to be a great lap dog that won’t shy away from affection.

Penny is up to date on her vaccinations, but will need a rabies shot soon. She is also not spayed. Her adoption fee will be $30.
