Virginia Air show to be held Saturday

The Virginia Air Show will hold its annual air show on Saturday at the Front Royal Warren County Airport.

According to the events website at http://www.virginiaairshow.com, featured at the ninth annual air show will be wing walking, a barnstorming air show, a car show, a kids play area with free balloon animals, face painting, slides, a moon bounce, a pirate ship, food and the Bealton Flying Circus. A raffle will also be available for attendees. Weather permitting, hot air balloons will also be on site.

An estimated 50 aircraft and over 100 cars will be at the event. Participants pay $15 at the gate to register a car. Car show participants can receive awards for the Top 20 in show, best in show, best Mustang and best motorcycle. Participants will also be eligible to win door prizes provided by local car dealerships and auto parts stores.

A beer garden at mid field with six varieties of beer, along with food and vendor booths, will be available.

Admission to the event is $5, children 6 and under are free. Parking is free as well.

The air show will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

The Warren County Airport is located at 229 Stokes Airport Road in Front Royal.
