Library program
Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will host the Books and Beyond Book Club at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The book to be discussed will be “Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation and Harassment in Obama’s Washington” by Sharyl Attkinson. Rotary club
Don Lemish, commissioner of the Valley Baseball League, will be the speaker for the luncheon meeting of the Rotary Club of New Market at noon Wednesday at Shenvalee Golf Resort in Miller Grille. Information: www.newmarketrotaryclub.net.

Identity theft workshops
LegalShield and the Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce will host two identity theft workshops at noon and 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Chamber office, 103 S. Main St., Woodstock.

Attendance is free, however, registration is requested for the afternoon session for the free lunch that will be provided. Information:  director@shenandoahcountychamber.com.

Chess club
Handley Library in Winchester will host open chess games at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday for all ages and skill levels.

There will be one-on-one instruction for new players and at 5:30 p.m. there will be a lecture on chess basics and strategy. Information: www.winchesterchess.com or www.handleyregional.org.

Women’s health lecture
Samuels Public Library in Front Royal will host a lecture on women’s health from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Dr. Jasmine Robinson with Performance Sport and Spine will lead the interactive discussion on topics such as pregnancy, nutrition, wellness and chiropractic care.

4-H club
The Cabin Hill 4-H Club and Cloverbuds will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Conicville Fire Hall. Information: 459-6140.
