Front Royal woman receives service award

The Front Royal Rotary Club presented its eighth annual Robert E. “Bob” Miller Community Service Award to Patricia S. “Patty” Wines, of Front Royal, during its August meeting.

The Front Royal Rotary Club presented its eighth annual Robert E. “Bob” Miller Community Service Award to Patricia S. “Patty” Wines, of Front Royal, during its August meeting.

Wines has spent a lifetime serving educational, civic and charitable organizations.

She served as a member of the Warren County Board of Supervisors 1989-1992, a member of the Front Royal-Warren County Economic Development Authority since 2001 and chairman of the board since 2008.

She was treasurer of the Midget Football League 1960s-2013, president of the Warren County Youth Council, and past president of the JayCettes 1957-1972.

She was past chairman of the Warren County March of Dimes board, and a member of the Little League Baseball board of directors, the finance committee of Front Royal United Methodist Church, the Warren County Republican Committee and has been a member of the Red Hat Society since 2005.
