Celebrate early during Halloween on Court Square
Dress in your favorite Halloween costumes on Saturday and celebrate the holiday during Woodstock’s Halloween on Court Square.
Katie Mercer, enhancement coordinator for the Woodstock Enhancement Committee, said about 400-600 people typically attend the annual event, which will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
She said activities include face painting, mask making, tattoos, monster mural coloring, pumpkin painting, a magic show at 11:30 a.m., a petting zoo, wooden craft making with Lowes, a costume party at Joe’s Steakhouse, food from Emmanuel Episcopal Church and trick-or-treating at over 20 local businesses and organizations.
Children 5 to 12 years old can also register to win the honor of lighting the town Christmas tree with Woodstock Mayor Jeremy McCleary at this year’s Light Up Woodstock celebration on Dec. 2.
