Kiwanis Club
The Blue Ridge Kiwanis Club of Winchester will meet at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Best Western-Lee Jackson in Winchester.

Veteran’s breakfast
The Signal Knob Middle School FFA chapter will hold its annual Veteran’s Day breakfast and program at 8 a.m. Saturday in the school cafeteria.
In addition to the meal, there will be a keynote speaker and special program and music to honor veterans. The event is free for veterans. Reservations are required by contacting Jaclyn Ryan at jmryan@shenandoah/

Food drive
The Shenandoah Area Council Boy Scouts of America will hold its 2016 Scouting for Food drive during November. Scouts will place door hangers in the community on Saturday and return on Nov. 12 to collect non-perishable food items (no glass containers) left on porches.

Indoor sale
Columbia Furnace United Methodist Church in Edinburg will hold an indoor yard sale from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Proceeds benefit outreach ministries.

Zion Christian Church in Maurertown will hold a breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday. A free-will offering will be accepted.

Grace United Methodist Church in Middletown will hold a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children.

Décor sale
A “Home for the Holiday” decor sale to benefit Relay for Life will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Toms Brook United Methodist Church.
In addition to new and gently-used home and holiday decorations, there will also be a bake sale.

Reliance United Methodist Church will hold a holiday bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Lunch will be available. Proceeds benefit the Missions of Reliance United Methodist Women.

Veteran’s breakfast
The monthly Northern Shenandoah community veterans’ breakfast will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Golden Corral in Winchester.

Bennett’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Front Royal will hold a bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Featured will be a quilt auction, homemade items, bake sale and lunch.

Basket sale
A Longaberger basket sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Front Royal Presbyterian Church. There will be a large selection of baskets, pottery, wrought iron, accessories and gift items from a retired consultant. A portion of sales will be donated to the church.

My Church on Old Valley Pike north of Woodstock will host a fall bazaar and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Rental spaces are available for $25. Lunch also available. Space reservations: 540-660-3069.

Justice meeting
“Coming to the Table in the Spirit of Justice,” a meeting between NAACP branches and the local law enforcement community, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Handley Regional Library in Winchester.
Discussion will include the causes of violence played out in the news involving people of color and the police. Information:

White Cane Day
The Woodstock Lions Club will hold a White Cane Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Wal-Mart and Food Lion in Woodstock.
Lions Club members will be collecting used eyeglasses and hearing aids along with donations supporting the sight/hearing impaired in the valley.

Potpie supper
Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Woodstock will hold a country ham potpie supper starting at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Eat in or take out. A free-will offering will be accepted to benefit Family Promise. Information: 459-4899 or
