Vibes at Libes
The Apple Chords Quartet will perform at 12:30 p.m. today as part of the Vibes at the Libes program at Samuels Public Library in Front Royal. Those attending are encouraged to bring a bag lunch.

Ben Glen will talk about the artwork of Caravaggio at the last of the fall art history lecture series from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Samuels Public Library in Front Royal. Information: 540-635-3153.
Ledo Pizza in Winchester will host a Give Back Night fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday to support Operation Stand Together, an organization that represents the collective interests of U.S. military veterans and their families. Funds raise awareness of chronic, life-long illness and disabling conditions affecting veterans as a result of nuclear, biological and chemical toxin exposures during active-duty service.
Bowman Library in Stephens City will launch National Novel Writing Month from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Tuesday for middle- and high-school students. Registration can be made online at www.ywp.nanowrimo.org.
The Shenandoah County Public Schools Special Education Advisory Committee will host guest speaker Tracy Lee at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Central High School in Woodstock. Lee, a family engagement specialist with the Virginia Department of Education, will discuss “Collaborating with Schools for Your Child’s Success: Making the Most of IEP and Other Meetings.” Information: www.shenandoah.k12.va.us.
The Friends of Handley Library will sponsor a bus trip on Wednesday to the DAR Library, National Archives, Library of Congress and National Art Gallery in Washington, D.C.
The bus will leave at 8 a.m. from Solenberger’s on Berryville Avenue (state Route 7) and leave Washington, D.C., at 3 p.m. to return by 5:30 p.m.
