Concert
Handley Regional Library, in cooperation with the Winchester NAACP, will host “Make A Joyful Noise,” featuring musicians and artists from Winchester, from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday. Information: Barbara Dickinson at 540-662-6046, ext. 31.

Writer’s group
Handley Library will host a nonfiction writers group from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of each month. Information: www.handleyregional.org.

Book show
The Shenandoah Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor a Books R Fun show from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the hospital lobby. Books, puzzles and games will be for sale at discounted prices.

Kiwanis club
Dario Savarese, head of marketing for the Apple Blossom Festival, will be the speaker at the meeting of the Blue Ridge Kiwanis Club of Winchester at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Best Western-Lee Jackson.

Fair anniversary
In preparation of the 100th anniversary of the Shenandoah County Fair in 2017, the Fair Association has formed the “Shenco Volunteers” for those who would like to assist with special events during the fair.
The first meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the fairgrounds in Woodstock. Light refreshments served. Information: 459-3867.

Video tournament
The Shenandoah County Library in Edinburg will hold a Rocket League video game tournament at 4:30 p.m. Thursday for teens and tweens. Pizza served and prizes awarded. Information: 984-8200.
