Starting Tuesday, the Shenandoah County Landfill in Edinburg will charge a fee for television and computer monitor disposal. Screens up to 20 inches (diagonally) will be $5 and larger screens will be $10. Information: 984-8573.

The Strasburg Chamber of Commerce will host a silent auction of trees and wreaths to benefit the Strasburg Dog Park and the Chamber.

A debut for the trees and wreaths, decorated by local businesses and community members, will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Chamber office with light hors d’oeuvres.

The Shenandoah County Historical Society will host author William Miller at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Heritage Center, 106 S. High St., Edinburg.

Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester has announced the following concerts will be held on Tuesday:
• A free concert by the Conservatory’s Jazz Combos will be held at 7 p.m. in Armstrong Concert Hall.
• The Conservatory Choir will present its fall concert at 7 p.m. in Goodson Chapel Recital Hall featuring music by Herbert Howell, Palestrina, MacMillan and Byrd. Tickets are $12.
