Rotary
New Market Town Councilman Peter Hughes will discuss economic development at the luncheon meeting of the Rotary Club of New Market at noon Wednesday at Shenvalee Golf Resort in Miller Grille.

Library
Handley Library will host a non-fiction writer’s group from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday for people interested in writing their memoirs, compiling a family genealogy, penning a historical account, etc.
The group meets the fourth Wednesday of each month. Information: www.handleyregional.org.

4-H/FFA
The Shenandoah County Extension office in Woodstock has announced the following meetings:
• The Strasburg FFA will hold its community showcase at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Strasburg High School ag shop. Demonstrations include CNC router, pen-making, welding and mock Career Development events.
• 4-H camp counselor interviews will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Extension office.

The Warren County Extension office will host an education meeting on creating a gazing and forage management plan for farms from 6:0 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the County Government Center.

Concert
The Shenandoah Conservatory will host the New York-based American Modern Ensemble in concert at 8 p.m. Thursday at Bright Box Theater in Winchester.

Kiwanis
Marc Jaccard, executive director of the Evans Home for Children, will be the speaker at the meeting of the Blue Ridge Kiwanis Club of Winchester at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Best Western-Lee Jackson in Perkin’s Restaurant.

Tournament
The Shenandoah County Library in Edinburg will hold a video game tournament at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Children will be competing in “Groove Pipe Snowboard,” part of the Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics Wii U game. Prizes awarded.
