Esbie Baptist Church in Strasburg will host a Black History Month program at 3 p.m. Sunday. Guests will be pastor-elect the Rev. Leroy Stewart and members of Salem Baptist Church in Marshall.

The Women’s Auxiliary of Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Association will host its 40th Black History Month program at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Baptist Center, 15044 Ryland Chapel Road, Rixeyville. The theme is “Rooted in Faith, Anchored in Hope,” highlighting the youth in the community.

Guests will be the Rev. Jerome Gipbon, choir and congregation from Rising Zion Baptist Church in Jeffersonton.

Tickets are $5 for adults in advance or $7 at the door and $1 for students (including college students with identification). Proceeds will benefit scholarships and mission outreach.

Beulah Baptist Church in Markham will hold its annual Black History Month program at 3 p.m. Sunday with guest speaker Kathy Urby from Antioch Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. She will be accompanied by the Voices of Harmony of Warrenton. Lunch will follow.
