Campaign
The Humane Society of Warren County will partner with the Petco Foundation for the “Love Changes Everything” animal adoption campaign this weekend.

The Humane Society will have pets available for adoption from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Front Royal Petco. Adoption fees will be waived for this event. Information: www.humanesocietywarrencounty.org.

Library
The Shenandoah County Library in Edinburg will hold a Messy Monday children’s program at 2 p.m. Monday. Information: Erica Hepner at 984-8200.

Concert
Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, along with pianist John O’Conor, will perform at 7 p.m. Monday in Armstrong Concert Hall, Winchester.

Tickets are $25. Proceeds will go toward the orchestra’s second international tour to Argentina.

Library
Bowman Library in Stephens City will host the following programs:
• Lego Club: 4:30-5:30 p.m., Mondays for elementary- and middle-school age children.
• Manga Art: 5:30 p.m., Monday and March 20 for tweens and teens.
• Kids Love Coloring: 4:30 p.m., Tuesdays.

Orientation
Orientation for the Shenandoah County Extension Leadership Council will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Extension office in Woodstock. A meeting of the council will follow at 7 p.m. Information: 459-6140.

Support
March 10 is the deadline to register for “Surviving With Laughter,” for women diagnosed with cancer. The event,  sponsored by Valley Health and the American Cancer Society, will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. March 22 at the Woodstock Brewhouse.

Retired meteorologist George Hirschman will emcee the free event. Guests include actor Russell Rinker, who toured with The Blue Man Group, and Dr. Kenneth Mason, who will give a presentation on colorectal cancer awareness.

Included will be a barbecue dinner, homemade sodas, gifts and door prizes.

Seating is limited. Registration can be made by calling the American Cancer Society at 540-434-5818.

Symposium
March 15 is the deadline for home gardeners to register for a symposium sponsored by the Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardeners Association from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 1 at the Carl and Emily Thompson Conference Center at Lord Fairfax Community College in Middletown.

Bus trip
Warren County Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a bus trip to the Smithsonian National Zoological Park on March 25.
The bus will leave at 9 a.m. from the Warren Community Center. The cost is $25 per person. Seating limited. Registration, information: 540-35-1021 or wcccinfo@warrencountyva.net.

Aquaculture
The Shenandoah County Extension office will hold a meeting to explore aquaculture from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 29 at the New Market Fire Hall. The meeting will introduce landowners and farmers to the work of aquaculture and aquaponics.
Registration is $15. The deadline to register is March 21. Information: 459-6140.
