WINCHESTER – Sunshine, a 6-year-old pointer mix, is looking for a playful place to call home.

Steven Rogers, supervisor at the Winchester SPCA, said Sunshine is an older girl who acts likes a young puppy.

“She is a great dog,” he said.

Sunshine loves long walks, running in the yard, playing with toys and being around people, he added. She also loves her food and treats and will lay on the floor while being brushed and will fall asleep at your side.

Rogers said that she also enjoys car rides and is housebroken. Sunshine will snuggle up on the bed with you and will sit beside you and watch TV on the couch. She isn’t afraid to jump on your lap for affection and nuzzle her face against your hand.

Sunshine doesn’t like young kids and would do best in a home without young children and other pets.

Sunshine is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $95.

For more information about adopting Sunshine, visit the Winchester SPCA at 115 Featherbed Lane in Winchester, by calling 540-662-8616, or by visiting its website at http://www.winchesterspca.org.
