Shenandoah County Fair lineup includes parade
The 100th anniversary of the Shenandoah County Fair will include a packed concert lineup, motorsports and a parade.
The concert lineup for the fair includes Martina McBride on Aug. 30, a double header on Aug. 31 that features William Michael Morgan and High Valley and the rock group Styx on Sept. 1.
The 100th anniversary parade will take place at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 24.
Opening night, Aug. 25, will feature Virginia’s Largest Pig Scramble with 100 pigs.
A variety of motorsports will take place throughout fair week, including Young Farmer’s Tractor Pull and Modified Tractor Pull on Aug. 26, two nights of Demolition Derby on Aug. 27-28 and the return of the Pick-up Truck Drag Races on Aug. 29. The finish and starting lines have changed ends for the Tractor Pull and Drag Race.
Last year’s sellout show “Vater’s Monster Sports Truck Show” returns Sept. 2 and features Monster Jam World Champion Overkill Evolution, with appearances by Black Stallion, Iron Warrior and Higher Education. This year’s show will also feature a special motorcycle stunt show.

A Super Pass is also available for $149 that gains fair admission and reserved seats to all grandstand events.
