Series
Friday is the deadline to register for Virginia Cooperative Extension’s six-lesson “Managing Your Money” series from 6 to 8 p.m. starting Monday at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.

Topics include personal finances, understanding credit, developing a spending and saving plan, traditional and non-traditional banking, insurance and record keeping. The final session, Getting Out of Debt, is optional.

Service
Cool Spring Church of God in Browntown will hold the following services this week:
Good Friday: 7 p.m. service.

Easter Sunday: 8 and 10 a.m. services. Breakfast and an Easter egg hunt follow the 8 a.m. service. There will be no 11 a.m. service.

Lutheran
Bethel Lutheran Church in Hamburg will hold the following services this week:
Today: Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m.
Friday: Good Friday Tenebrae service at 7 p.m.
Easter Sunday: breakfast at 9:30 a.m. followed by an Easter egg hunt; 10:45 a.m. service with Holy Communion.

Concert
Shenandoah Conservatory’s American Traditional Ensemble will present its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Goodson Chapel Recital Hall.

Admission is free. Information: 540-665-4569.

Film
Handley Library will host a showing of the G-rated film “The BFG” at 5:30 p.m. Monday. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch.

4-H
The Lebanon Church 4-H Club and Cloverbuds will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at At Your Service in Woodstock. Information: 459-6140.

Kiwanis
The Kiwanis Club of Front Royal has donated $500 toward the Winter Reading Club program at Samuels Public Library, which had over 250 children reading over 3,000 books.

Club members also provided breakfast on March 2 for the library’s celebration of the Read Across America Day program and Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

The club has provided furnishings in the children’s play area, established a juvenile Spanish language collection, expanded the non-fiction collection and provided for the Books-To-Go collection and S.T.E.M. bags.
