Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Basye will hold a community yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will also be a bake sale and food available for lunch. Information: 856-8389.

The Sisters of the Eta Chi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will hold a 12-family yard sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at 408 Roland Road, Woodstock. Proceeds will support local charities and organizations.

The Shenandoah Garden Club will hold a plant sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Woodstock Rite Aid parking lot. Included will be hostas, ferns, coreopsis, lilies and more.

Shenandoah County Master Gardeners will be available to answer home horticultural questions from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Strasburg Farmers Market at Pot Town Organics. Information: 459-6140.

The Toms Brook 4-H Club and Cloverbuds will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday at Dutch Haven in Maurertown. Information: 459-6140.

Monday is the deadline to register to attend the Shenandoah County TRIAD Conference from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 19 at the Woodstock Moose Lodge.
Presenters include Shenandoah County Sheriff Timothy Carter who will discuss scams and drugs in our county, Capt. Richard Funkhouser with County Fire & Rescue discussing fire extinguisher training and Investigator G. Hopkins and Sgt. B. Lutz with the Sheriff’s Office presenting an Active Threat Citizens Defense workshop.
The conference is free and open to anyone 55 and older. Lunch included. Information, registration: 459-6100.

May 10 is the deadline to register for the Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation combined basic first aid and CPR/AED (automatic external defibrillator) class from 6 to 10 p.m. May 17 at the County Government Center in Woodstock for ages 18 and older.

Oak Level United Methodist Church will hold a pancake brunch starting at noon Sunday at 1809 Camp Roosevelt Road, Fort Valley.
Included will be sausages, sausage gravy, biscuits and eggs. A free-will offering will be accepted.

Tickets are on sale for the GLOW Festival (Gals Living Out Wellness) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 20 at American Celebration on Parade in Quicksburg. The regional event is being held in commemoration of National Women’s Health Week, May 14-20.
Elana Sonnino, a certified life coach, yoga teacher, cancer survivor and mom, will be the keynote speaker.
Activities include health talks, “speed date a doctor” sessions (quick questions about those nagging concerns), wine tasting and more.
Cost is $30 per person. An optional painting class will be held in the afternoon and vendors will be available throughout the day.
