A few weeks ago, my youngest son woke me up on a Saturday morning with a thousand and two questions about our plans for the day. At age 6, his curiosity runs like Niagara Falls and I'm often the one going over the edge in a barrel.

I love roller coasters, I really do. My husband and I have been sneaking away for grown-up amusement park weekends for years now. Old school wooden coasters, sleek steal rails, hanging suspension style, we've done it all. We love the free-falling thrill of dropping, spinning and spiraling in a well controlled manner.

Were he alive, Fred Templeton would turn 73 on April 2. However, he died of lung cancer in August 1992 -- too young for him, his wife, and his two children.

In a shameful attempt to revise history, the architects of the worse foreign policy in this country's history are demonstrating an inexplicable failure to grasp the terrible human and moral consequences of their lies and manipulation that led to the invasion and occupation of Iraq. This year, on the 10th anniversary of the war, the draft-dodging chicken hawks George W. Bush ( I have nothing to apologize for), and Dick Cheney ( I'd do it all over again) not only seek to justify their actions but lavish high praise on all of those involved and falsely declare that the Iraqi people are better off today then in pre-invasion days.

Knapp had just returned to his station in Puerto Rico after being presented with the FBI Director's Award for Outstanding Criminal Investigation and the 2011 Attorney General's Award for Excellence in Law Enforcement.

This colorful engraving from 1791 - "The Arrival of Emperor Joseph II in Elysium" -- may not be a missing page from the history of art, but it speaks volumes about a culture long gone, and conjures up some interesting ironies and questions. To fathom it best, we must perform a little historical surgery on the past.

Easter is truly the highlight of human celebrations. Whereas Christmas celebrates a birth and Good Friday a death, only Easter is the celebration of a human resurrection from the dead

About a year ago, I discovered a new Asian fusion restaurant. I'm not sure how many times I drove by and saw the signs before I ventured in. But I'm sure glad I did.
