Front Royal Kiwanis Club donates $900 in backpacks, supplies to school
The Kiwanis Club of Front Royal has announced it’s donated roughly $900 worth of backpacks and school supplies to E. Wilson Morrison School for the upcoming school year.
The backpacks and pencils, paper, notebooks and related supplies will help several needy children at the school in Front Royal. The school had advised the club on what types of supplies might be needed by children in the various grade levels.
The project was organized by Kiwanis members Linda Allen, Melanie Stull and Barbara Tringali. They and Front Royal President Tom Curry and President-Designate Wayne Barber delivered the supplies to Principal Margaret Holmes and long-time K-Kids sponsor Virginia McKcKinnon on Aug. 12 at the school.
Kiwanis Club members in Front Royal also recently participated in the National Night Out in Front Royal as well as the Warren County Fair.
The Kiwanis Club of Front Royal is part of Kiwanis International. Kiwanis International is a global organization of members dedicated to serving the children of the world.
