Randolph-Macon Academy announces staff, faculty award winners

Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal has announced that Joshua Ilnicki was named the Faculty of the Year for the 2012-13 school year. Ilnicki teaches science at Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School and is the assistant coach for middle school girls’ volleyball and middle school girls’ basketball, and is the head coach of the middle school track team at Randolph-Macon.

The Mentor of the Year was Bill Curl, who teaches English at the middle school. He is the head coach of the varsity golf team and the middle school boys’ basketball team. In addition, Curl is a 1966 graduate of Randolph-Macon Academy.

The varsity girls’ soccer team head coach, Brandy Hudson, was named Coach of the Year for the 2012-13 school year. Hudson is also the assistant athletic director at the school.

Randolph-Macon’s Employee of the Year award went to Karen Moxie, who was also honored for completing 35 years of service at the school. Moxie is the director of student services at the academy.

The Team of the Year for 2012-13 was the Flight Department, consisting of flight director Laura Abraham and flight instructor Ryan Koch.
